Attendance & Administration \n\nMeeting held at The Stag\, Mentmore.\nChaired by Jared Ward‑Brickett.\nApologies from several members.\nNo matters arising from previous minutes.\nDeclaration: Jared is an employee of Tring Brewery.\n\n  \n2. Branch Accounts \n\nBank balance: £2\,029\nDebtors: £754 (mainly Autumn Tapler)\nExpected income: £808 (Winter Tapler)\nPotential balance: £3\,591\nDiscussion on improving advertising payment processes and possibly giving the Treasurer an understudy.\nAction: Jared to discuss with Charles.\n\n  \n3. Membership \n\nNet change: –2 members since last meeting; –16 over the year.\nCurrent branch membership: 642.\nNational CAMRA membership: 142\,500\, down 538.\nConcern that the loss of both Great British Beer Festivals will impact recruitment.\n\n  \n4. Brewery Liaison Officer (BLO) Reports \nTring Brewery \n\nSeasonal beer: Going Loco (3.9% bitter).\n2026 charity: Berkhamsted & District Community First Responders.\nPlanned charity‑themed beers include Ambrewlance\, Resus Red\, Skeleton Session\, Shock Horror\, The Holly & the I.V.\n2025 charity total exceeded £8\,000.\n\nMad Squirrel \n\nNo formal report; mention of their 11.6% anniversary stout.\n\nPope’s Yard \n\nNo report.\n\n  \n5. Tapler Magazine \n\nVery positive reception; wider distribution than ever.\nRichard now in contact with national beer writers including Laura Hadland and Christine Cryne.\nNew Instaprint account manager following the death of previous contact.\nSpring Tapler planned for early March.\n\n  \n6. Good Beer Guide 2027 Selection \n\nAllocations: 6 pubs for Buckinghamshire\, 8 for Hertfordshire\, plus reserves.\nDiscussion on scoring reliability and the impact of small numbers of scorers.\nSix‑month rule removed except for new venues.\nPlan to provide pubs with a QR link to NBSS; to be progressed by the Webmaster.\n\n  \n7. Locale & Pubwatch \n\nNo changes or reports.\n\n  \n8. Socials \n\nFitzrovia Trail in December was a success.\nLeighton Buzzard Trail planned (date TBC).\nAndy shared beer trail leaflets and suggested joint socials.\n\n  \n9. Beer Festival \n\nWash‑up meeting date still to be arranged.\n\n  \n10. AOB \n\nJared updating website; Jon asked about engagement.\nAction: Jared and Jon to coordinate on website matters.\nAndy joined the Herts Liaison Group and distributed trail materials.\n\n  \n11. Next Meeting \n\nWednesday 4 February\, 8pm\, at The Grand Junction Arms\, Bulbourne.\nAction: Richard to book venue.
